I am fully insured as required by my professional body and I am registered with The UK Register of Exercise Professionals and The European Register of Exercise Professionals.
My journey to become a full time personal trainer started as a dual qualified barrister and solicitor. During life as a partner of an international law firm I kept healthy and a handle on my waist line through regular workouts at the gym and runs around the streets of London (both often at 6am or late at night)! The workouts also provided me with real “me time” and essential de-stressing. To keep me motivated I set myself numerous personal challenges to improve my strength and fitness at the gym and ran several 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons and the Paris marathon in 2012. As I completed these challenges I started reading and learning more and more about the best training techniques and how to get the most from my body.
After years as partner of a law firm I decided I wanted to take my life in a new direction. In addition to my client work at the law firm I was the graduate recruitment partner for the London office, mentoring associates on their career aspirations and was heavily involved in the women in business groups helping female associates to navigate what is often seen as a “man’s world”. I realised working as a personal trainer would bring together my passion, knowledge and experiences in sport and fitness and my love of working with others.
Since completing my qualifications to become a personal trainer I have become a mum to two (a boy (3) and a girl (18 months)) and my workouts have been adapted even further to fit in with my new busy life as a working mom of two. Whilst I lifted pre-pregnancies I used to have a big focus on cardio and always thought a workout was not worth doing unless I worked out for at least an hour. Post baby my workouts have switched to mainly working out at home, lifting more and doing 30 minutes or whatever moves I can when I can…..AND, I am in better shape than pre-babies!! I am stronger, I run faster, I have more energy, I have better endurance, and I have better abs than ever before.
My life experiences mean I fully understand the pressure of fitting exercise into busy challenging lifestyles. My goal is to help you to be active, be stronger and be happy. I believe no matter what challenges you face this is achievable! If I can do it then so can you!! I have learnt a lot on my journey and I want you not to make the same mistakes as me, but to achieve and smash those goals. I have put together plans to guide you throughout your pregnancy, as a new mom and beyond.
I look forward to training with you! If you have any questions at any time please do email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
